Steam not downloading mod even when subscribed
Change language. Install Steam. I've tried subscribing to items from several games, and there is no downloading of any of the items.
They do not appear in in-game workshop lists, but I checked the steam workshop folder for some of the games, and there are blank folders which are, presumabely, for the items that are not downloading.

Currently having the exact same problem, things can be subscribed to in the workshop but do not appear in the downloads. Check mark, I'll go see. Yes, theres check maks beside the mods. OK, one more time. You subscribe to the mod 2. You hit play in your library for Skyrim and the launch menu appears. Now wait for the mod to download, it may take a few minutes. You can see the progress of the download in the top right corner of the launch menu.

Why reviving an old thread that already was revived almost 2 years after creation? People still commenting on this? Select the Account from the vertical menu of the left pane, and then click on the Change button under Beta participation.
Change the status to None — Opt out of all beta programs from the drop-down menu and click on OK to save the change. As you might know, sometimes the download progress of the mods is only shown inside the Big Picture Mode. So, you can try using Big Picture Mode to fix the issue. Open your Steam client and then click on the Big Picture Mode icon at the upper right corner of the screen.
Inside the Big Picture mode, check if the mod is downloading in the queue. You should make sure the download region is close to the exact physical location of your PC.
Select Downloads from the vertical menu and then change the Download Region to the appreciate country on the right-hand pane and click on OK. Download Partition Wizard.
